Uncompromising Standards

Uncompromising Standards

I regret the repetition for those who have already perused my introduction in its original form via the gleaming new J. Press Spring & Summer 2025 Brochure. If you haven’t received it—go get it online or even better in one of the standing NYC, New Haven, DC stores to savor and feel the goods remarkably bestowed on the printed pages. It’s a pip.

Retaining the gung-ho admirations of our patrons, regardless of their generation whose allegiance is reinforced by the fact that J. Press has never strayed from what we have done since my grandfather, the eponymous Jacobi Press, birthed his first store in 1902: attention to quality and detail.

As an American heritage brand, J. Press strives to manufacture in the factories we have partnered with throughout our storied history, keeping as much as we can in the United States whenever possible. Our uncompromising standards require constant policing and careful re-examination of fabrics, tailoring, and merchandise specifics that secure the long-term investment value of any J. Press purchase.

Surveying the Seersucker to Tweed scene since my retail birth on the floor at J. Squeeze—my pride continues to runneth over.

The song’s gotta come from the heart!

I never quite know when it is coming but always so glad when it’s here! Got mine on Saturday so, had an active Saturday night! The pictures always seem to have a warmth and eye for detail you never see anywhere else. I feel like the guy who used to collect TV Guides for reference. But, way more treasured!

Bought a suit off the rack in D.C. a long time ago but, alas, now I live in “fly over country” and wish there were a way to get a tailored suit. Could I have a local tailor take the measurements your tailors need to make me a suit?

Nothing is more awaited than the Fall and Spring J.Press brochures!

God bless you! Your grandfather would be proud of your disciplined stewardship.

Cheers!
