A manual wind 10k gold plate Wittnauer guilloché dial watch. This very handsome watch was this American owned Swiss made company's classic gentleman’s wristwatch the likes of which would have adorned the wrist of many of America's burgeoning white collar workers in the middle of the 20th Century. This example has a beautiful silvered guilloché design running all the way through the dial that radiates when light passes over it. The hour markers are a mix of the Arabic numerals and double baton, and the company 'W' logo at the top of the dial. The watch is in good condition overall, the dial is in excellent condition. The case remains unpolished with strong lines and good chamfers, with slight signs of wear. Perhaps a little on the smaller side for some of today's watch wearers, this also has a classic mid-century charm to it. The Mad Men chic! This is a great looking watch for someone looking for something different, but while holding onto a classic refined elegance.
