Rolex 36mm Oyster Perpetual Ref 1018

The reference 1018 is a rare and oversized Oyster Perpetual model which measures 36mm (43mm lug-to-lug).

The 1018 was a reference that was not mass-produced and as a result of its narrow font has become an exciting OP for collectors who appreciate minimal and balanced dials. This example features a grey soleil dials which remains in a fantastic state. 

Oftentimes, the reference 1018 will show signs of water ingress or feature service dials. 

The case has been lightly polished and the watch is paired on a folded link Rolex bracelet dating to 1972. The watch features a 2.09M serial dating to circa 1969.

The watch does not come with box and papers. The service history is not known, but it is running well.  It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
