White Ducks Are Still Quacking

White Ducks Are Still Quacking

You don’t have to be a Kennedy to wear white ducks these days. Former Brown University football teammates Reiley Higgins and Alex Quoyesar continued bonding @latimes in white ducks en route to Keeneland as part owners of Hot Rod Charlie, second-place finisher in the 2021 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and winner of the Louisville Derby.

White Ducks

In the 1930s, Joe Kennedy Sr. with sons Joe Jr. and Jack glossed Palm Beach correct sporting white ducks with Spectator shoes. Classic footwear, Oxford full brogue constructed from two contrasting colors—typically having the toe and heel cap in a darker color the white main body of the shoe.

 J. Press selections of Alden Cordovan Tassels or Leisure Handsewn Loafers present a more realistic version of the old-time style. Our 21st Century white duck is rendered with 100% cotton washed twill matched for rustic simplicity with no-sox in Rancourt Brown Camp Moccasins. For informal scrumming utilize our wide choice of authentic Rugby Shirts—100% heavyweight cotton jersey fabric, the real thing. Dress up the white twill ducks with our Murray’s Toggery Blazer over OCBD.

Perhaps get literary, citing T.S. Eliot’s classic poem, J. Alfred Prufrock with a pair of White Flannel Trousers or Gabardine Twills made specially in our Tailored To Individual Order Department:

 I grow old…I grow old…
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.
Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
I do not think that they will sing to me.

Hello Folks,

I have looked thru the ads and could not find the Ducks Trousers, where are they or what is the product number?

When I entered college at Chapel Hill in 1955, nobody I knew or saw was wearing white ducks, but I decided I wanted a pair. They were not to be had in the college shops there or in department stores in nearby cities. One summer I went to a bargain store in my small home town and bought a pair of white cotton “milkman” pants and began wearing them with madras shirts or Lacoste polos. By the following spring the college shops were stocking white ducks. I take credit for reviving the look, at least in the South.

As I remember, the jackets were often suit coats rather than “sports jackets” which had not yet come into popularity.
