Lucius Beebe was an American photographer and columnist for the New York Herald Tribune and contributing writer to magazines such as Gourmet, The New Yorker, Town and Country, and more. Beebe is credited with coining the term "cafe society," to describe the fashionable members of New York society. In his column This is New York, Beebe covers iconic establishments including The Stork Club, 21 Club, and El Morocco.
