Vintage Have a Guinness When You're Tired Beer Tortoise Ceramic Ashtray

Guinness was founded in Dublin, Ireland in 1759 by Arthur Guinness. For 170 years, Guinness never advertised; however, in 1929, they sought to create ads that were clever, funny, and matched the quality of their beer. The tortoise character was created by John Gilroy in the 1930s and has been featured in many of the iconic Guinness advertisements.
