Heidsieck presented his Champagne to Queen Marie Antoinette, who instantly loved it and became the brand's first ambassador. Piper-Heidsieck was the first Champagne house to appear on film in the 1933 movie Sons of the Desert by Laurel and Hardy. Marilyn Monroe was so fond of the champagne, she kept a month's supply in her kitchen. Piper-Heidsieck has been the official supplier of the Canes Film Festival, the Oscars, the Australian Open, and Rolex Paris Masters.
