Catching the Zeitgeist

Catching the Zeitgeist

Fashion Designer Michael Kors has been quoted, “I love fashion because it’s plugged into the zeitgeist, so it’s always changing.” J. Press accommodates his theory of fashion change redefining its role as America’s prime niche player of Ivy Style.

As autumn weather turns the leaves to flame, the current outerwear approach, whether Wall Street or Main Street, renders worsted or tweed topcoats mostly a remnant of past times.

J. Press meets the current outerwear challenge presenting the following cornucopia for city barhopping, stadium cheering, hiking, hunting or casual outdoor patio loafing. Some roster highlights:

One of a kind Orkney Tweed Field Coat with unique gussets and classic collar, patch pockets, and game pouch
Classic Tartan and Solid Duffel Coats with toggle-and-rope fastenings, patched pockets, and large hood
Crescent Down Works Down Jackets and Vests
Wool/Alpaca Blend Untucked Outdoor Weight
Overshirts
Supple Suede Bomber and Shearling Barrett Jackets

PS: We haven’t forgotten our suit wearers continuing to feature our traditional Single Breasted Classic Navy and Charcoal Wool/Cashmere blend Topcoats and Camel Hair Polo Coats for whomever and wherever the wind blows.

Who wants to be plugged into the Zeitgeist?

I dress to avoid today’s facileness and show the integrity of traditional gentlemen’s clothing.

I don’t go to church in tennis shoes.

Sincerely,
