A stainless steel Seiko Weekdater model, with a 21 jewel automatic movement. This very versatile and handsome watch combines a lot of classic watch DNA with a Seiko spin. The case design is very simple, clean but strong. It wears large on the wrist, thanks in part to the quite thick case and quite large diameter, given it was designed in the 1960's. The case also appears larger due to the dial design that incorporates an inner sloped rehaut with the minute track printed onto it, which catches light beautifully, contrasting nicely against the gorgeous metallic darker dial. The dial is a clean and rare dark gunmetal metallic sunburst color with split baton hour markers with cross hair design. There is a day and date window at the three o'clock position, which has a quick set function, thanks to the separate recessed crown located at the two thirty position on the edge of the case. Depressing this will skip the date wheel one position. The dial and hand dauphine set are also non-luminous making this watch a more "dress" style. However, the versatile design of this watch makes it just as comfortable on the wrist in a polo shirt and chinos. Classic Seiko design is reflected in the winding crown being set around the four thirty position on the edge of the case. The watch is powered by the high quality Seiko 21 jewel 'diashock' movement. The watch is presented on an original stainless steel Seiko signed bracelet. The watch is in superb condition, unpolished and very handsome.
