A stainless steel manual wind Tudor Oyster. A charming and very clean Tudor model "Oyster" manufactured in the 1950s. The watches from this time are also called "small rose" because the rose mark is about 1/4 the size of a big rose.
The cases for Tudor watches are made by their parent company; Rolex. This is no different here. This is a classic Oyster case; screw down case back, and screw down crown. Therefore sealing the interior from potential damage. The case appears to be unpolished, there is of course wear to the case, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance.
The dial is the original silver dial with applied baton markers with black printed chapter ring has garnered a wonderful warm patina to it. The original pencil style hands are present with the original Tritium luminous material featured. This matches the original lume plots atop each of the baton markers.
The watch is powered by the caliber 1156 manually wound movement. This movement has recently benefited from a complete overhaul and is keeping excellent time.
Overall, the watch is presented in excellent and all original vintage condition. The original case serial number is present on the exterior of the case back. Although this is certainly not the largest watch, it does not wear too small due to the longer fine lug. It has all the charm of its Rolex counterparts from this period at a more affordable price.
