A stainless-steel Rolex Oyster, manually wound watch. This is a timeless and easy to love version of the 34mm Oyster cased Rolex. With its original silver metallic dial with horizontal striped brushed finish, smooth bezel and very neutral overall appearance, this watch is a classic, and to all intents and purposes the same as the Perpetual Date to look at. Both watches come in at 34mm in width, this example simply has the date window at the 3 o'clock position removed. The same hands and dial layouts with the stick markers and Tritium luminous material applied at the ends are also all present. The only real distinguishing features are the slightly thinner case (no need to incorporate the winding rotor) and no “Perpetual” printing on the dial.

The dial itself is a beautiful, uncluttered with only two lines of black printing, including the “T Swiss T” at the foot of the dial. All of the original Tritium lume plots are present, and have toned into a warm cafe ivory colour. The same can be said for the hands. They present well under UV, and are both original to the watch. The serial number for the watch is 2,006,XXX dating it circa 1969. The stainless steel case is in good condition showing light signs of polishing over the years. The movement inside the watch is the manual wind Rolex caliber 1210. A classic piece of Rolex watch making design and history that is a great watch to wear both day and night. The leather bands can be changet for any of the colours available on the website if you wear more black than brown, for example. A really handsome and easy to wear watch for both dressing up and down.
